چکیده
Abstract WC-Co coatings sprayed by HVOF attracted much attentions, benefiting from the satisfactory wear resistance and high bonding strength to steel substrates. Nevertheless, density of conventional required excessive Co binder, which decreased hardness operation life. Based on this, a strengthened WC-30WB-10Co coating was developed with both improved hardness, using high-qualified thermal composite powders. Comparison between phase composition, microstructure, interfacial properties newly WC-12Co clarified in detail. Compared powders, spherical powders showed higher apparent flowability, due situ formed CoWB CoW 2 B phases during accelerated metallurgy reaction. Oxidation decarburization were confirmed spraying formation W C, 3 C 6 coatings. Attracting microhardness 1639HV0.3 relative 99.44% achieved, than those 1222 HV0.3 99.27% WC-12Co. This attributed ternary compounds consumption ductile binder The hard alloy are expected be well applied aggressive corrosion environments low metal content.

متن کاملEffect of SiC nanoparticles addition on mechanical properties and wear resistance of cemented carbides fabricated by spark plasma sintering
WC-10Co cemented carbides containing 1 to 4 wt% SiC nanoparticles were prepared by spark plasma sintering. The effects of SiC content on microstructure, mechanical properties and wear resistance of the sintered materials were studied. Microstructural studies showed that SiC addition resulted in WC grain coarsening. In addition, the hardness decreased with increasing SiC content. However, the fr...

The high-velocity oxygen-fuel (HVOF) spraying process was used to fabricate conventional WC-10Co-4Cr coatings and FeCrSiBMn amorphous/nanocrystalline coatings. The synergistic effect of cavitation erosion and corrosion of both coatings was investigated. The results showed that the WC-10Co-4Cr coating had better cavitation erosion-corrosion resistance than the FeCrSiBMn coating in 3.5 wt.% NaCl ...
